Galah Cockatoo

Galah Cockatoo Parrots

When you hear the name, galah cockatoo parrots, you might immediately picture their stunning pink and gray plumage. I’m Michael Anderson, owner of THE COCKATOO HOME, and while their beauty is undeniable, their true charm lies in their personality. These birds are famous for being a bit of a clown, playful and full of energy, but they also have a deeply affectionate side that makes them wonderful companions.

My goal has always been to raise these incredible birds to be a well-adjusted part of a family, and to ensure they have the best start possible. It’s a rewarding journey, both for the breeder and for the lucky person who gets to bring one of these amazing galah cockatoo parrots home.

The Irresistible Charm of Galah Cockatoo Parrots

It’s hard to be around galah cockatoo parrots and not crack a smile. I’ve seen them do the most ridiculous things, like hanging upside down from a perch just to get my attention or bobbing their heads to the rhythm of a song on the radio. They have this, what’s the word, this genuine zest for life.

They are incredibly inquisitive and love to explore their surroundings, which is why providing them with a variety of toys and puzzles is so important. A bored Galah, well, that’s a problem. They are so smart that they can quickly get into mischief, so keeping their minds busy is a must.

Beyond their playful side, these galah cockatoo parrots have a capacity for love that is truly remarkable. They form strong, deep bonds with their owners. They love to be handled, to get a good head scratch, and to just sit with you.

They have a certain quiet confidence that I find very endearing. They aren’t as demanding as some of the larger cockatoos, like the Moluccan, but they will still be a constant presence in your life, wanting to be a part of everything you do. They truly become a part of the family.
